Photographer’s note
Between two missions, the gaze comes to rest: on the endless canopy, the winding rivers, the estuary where fishermen wait for dawn. French Guiana is also this: a territory of silence and noise, vast skies and peaceful or turbulent waters. This reportage gathers landscapes captured away from the turmoil of operations, when light alone tells the memory of places.
